Shmuel Moreh ((ヘブライ語:שמואל מורה),(アラビア語:شموئيل موريه), born in Baghdad, December 22, 1932) is professor emeritus in the Department for Arabic Language and Literature at the Hebrew University and a recipient of the Israel Prize in Middle Eastern studies in 1999.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Professor Shmuel Moreh Autobiography and Poetry )〕 In addition to having written many books and articles dealing with Arabic literature in general and Iraqi Jewish Arabic literature in particular, he has been a major contributor to Elaph, the first online daily independent journal.
